This painting captures a view of the Grand Canal from the Rialto Bridge, taken on our honeymoon just before sunset. We spent our first day in Venice ticking off the sights, but after that, we simply wandered—getting lost in the quiet backstreets, crossing little side canals, and dining outdoors beneath a canopy of vines in a hidden courtyard.

Venice has a beauty unlike anywhere else. The peeling paint, the weather-worn wood—it all adds to its charm. A place full of history, light, and atmosphere, and one I hope to return to one day.
