Pomegranate still life

Like opening an agate, pomegranates are filled with sparkling little jewels—too beautiful not to paint, even if all those tiny segments quickly became a challenge!

This piece was painted back in 2019, and looking at it now makes me wonder how I’d approach it differently today. Maybe it’s time for another go with a fresh perspective (and a fresh pomegranate!).
