End of the Day, St Ives (2019)

For many, spotting the Island in St Ives marks the start of the holiday.  A distinctive landmark visible from all over St Ives, and capped with a small chapel. The island makes a perfect lookout point and catches the light and weather.  This painting caught the last light of the day as the sun was setting.  The oranges lightening the chapel and the old town underneath.  To emphasis the chapel and capture a different view of the island, this painting was produced in portrait rather than landscape.  
This painting was produced for an exhibition in Staffordshire.

The canvas board is in a St Ives style white frame and strung, ready to hang. Can currently be viewed in Bespoke on Market Street in Lichfield.
